We were contracted to build the windows for a Storybook Home in Canada.
The ages old leaded glass design of all windows was Beveled Diamond Light. We provided the Jeld-Wen wooden windows as a part of the project. These windows were shipped to us from Jeld-Wen, we then placed our handmade leaded glass in them, crated them and shipped them to the job site in Canada.
We hand beveled the glass in our studio, the old fashioned way. We also insulated all these windows. That involves enveloping the leaded glass panel within sheets of clear tempered glass and sealing them. Thus creating a triple pane window.
Amazingly, the Diamond Light design has been popular for over 500 years and it is rare that we are not working on at least one project that calls for this design. I guess it is not just a fad.
